Joondalup Resort is seeking an experienced Banquet Head Chef to lead the successful day-to-day operation of our Banqueting kitchen. This role is responsible for the organisation, preparation, and service of all food for functions and events across the resort, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Please note: We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position at this time. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all activities in the Banquet kitchen, including menu planning and innovative concepts for conferences, weddings, and events. Supervise and train chefs, cooks, and apprentices within the Banquets department. Collaborate with the event sales team to enhance offerings and ensure accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in line with legislative guidelines. Manage rostering, stock control, and monthly reporting on revenue, wage costs, and food wastage reduction. Ensure quality control of all food served and resolve any food-related customer concerns promptly. What We’re Looking For Culinary qualification and 3+ years’ experience in a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of food principles and best practices. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to lead a team in a high-volume kitchen environment. Passion for creating exceptional food experiences. Personal Qualities Strong leadership and time-management skills. Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
