Job Description About the Role: Join a dynamic logistics team and play a key role in delivering reliable freight solutions across Australia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our Sydney operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules and ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of freight services across NSW. This job role is permanent full time with a work week of Monday to Friday and occasionally assisting for a few hours on a Saturday. Key Responsibilities: Schedule jobs and workloads for interstate or local drivers, ensuring alignment with customer transport requirements. Collaborate with our interstate teams in VIC and QLD as a key member of our close-knit Sydney logistics team. Allocate loads to drivers and subcontractors promptly, while adhering to the Wickham Freight Lines Fatigue Management System. Provide drivers with accurate documentation and instructions for pickups and deliveries; monitor freight movement and report any irregularities to the Terminal Manager. Coordinate with management and staff to meet customer freight requirements effectively. Allocate work among terminal staff, ensuring deadlines are met and staff productivity is optimised. Implement and monitor Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures, and ensure all staff are trained and compliant with WHS policies. Desired Skills and Experience What We're Looking For: Prior experience in transport/logistics or a qualification in Transport & Logistics (Cert III/Diploma) is highly desirable. Familiarity with heavy vehicle road networks in Sydney is advantageous. A current Forklift licence and/or HC/MC licence (or willingness to obtain). Proven people management and delegation skills. Strong desire to learn and grow in scheduling and load coordination. Experience with TruckMate software will be highly regarded. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—for effective interaction with drivers and customers. Strong computer proficiency and exceptional attention to detail. Understanding of logistics supply or retail chain is a plus.
