Job Title: Product Owner - CostX Cloud & Platform Location: Brisbane Employment Type: Full Time The job Reporting to the Senior Product Manager for the CostX portfolio, the CostX Cloud & Platform Product Owner is responsible for guiding the ongoing development and improvement of the CostX Cloud product, as well as broader CostX platform and technology areas including APIs, licensing, identity & access control, etc. They will work closely with our users, customers and internal stakeholders across a variety of business units, to aid in growth of CostX and CostX Cloud in our target geographies, as well as understand the different priorities of problems to be solved within the products. The Product Owner is responsible for research & analysis, discovery & scoping of requirements and UI designs & workflows (where applicable) to help develop new ideas and innovations to support RIB's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Business alignment with product strategy: Work with Senior Product Manager to understand and champion core product vision, strategy and goals to other members of the Cloud & Platform team. Evaluate, prioritise and justify new product opportunities, development & investment via collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Create and maintain product roadmaps. Market And Product Expertise: Be an expert in your product areas, the industry, competitors, target market segments, customer needs and business problems. Capture voice of customer, identify pain points & possible solutions by conducting customer research. Leverage our R&D and SME teams for input, review and feedback on solution suitability to global regions and markets. Product Definition, Collaboration, And Execution: Drive product roadmap execution within scrum team, managing and communicating timelines, anticipating deviations from plan, proactively identify and reccomend solutions. Break down large-scale ideas into stories, develop and refine product backlog, identify and document milestones/deliverables in roadmap. Actively participate in, and take responsibility for application of Product Life-cycle Management process in an Agile scrum environment, including running sprint ceremonies. Develop innovative ideas to complex problems, working with Senior Product Manager and other stakeholders to formulate conceptual designs. Validate and iterate on solution designs with internal and external stakeholders. Work with R&D and QA team through development process to ensure solutions are built to specification, and tested for release. Work with Managed Services team to ensure smooth release of new product versions to market. Essential Requirements 3+ years experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst (or equivalent) in software environment. Experience with handling competing priorities, and ability to justify decisions based on direct stakeholder engagement, and alignment with wider strategic product goals. Demonstrated ability to define solutions to complex problems, using sound judgement to assess risks. Ability to work in both autonomous and team-oriented environments (teams in person and in other locations globally), self-motivated with strong work ethic, and high level of attention to detail. Strong written and verbal English communication, with proven ability to collaborate with R&D team, as well as other internal and external stakeholders at all levels in a constructive manner. Ability to deliver results without losing track of the details. Desired Skills Understanding of Agile scrum methodologies, and Product Lifecycle Management processes. Understanding of Atlassian product suite for planning and development. Understanding of construction industry, and technological applicability. Understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, etc. RIB may require all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
