We are a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses, set on approximately 20 hectares of beautiful gardens and playing fields. About the role This position is central to the care and presentation of our College grounds, helping to create an environment where students, staff and visitors feel safe and welcome. We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, understands the importance of well‑kept outdoor spaces, and values the impact that an attractive, functional environment can have on student learning, wellbeing and safety. The role involves a broad range of hands‑on ground maintenance and operational tasks, which require the ability to use a range of tools and minor plant safely (e.g. ride‑on mowers). Duties include mowing and edging lawn areas, pruning, trimming, maintaining garden beds, clearing pathways, removing litter and debris, and monitoring the condition of outdoor furniture and fixtures, to ensure all external spaces are safe. In addition to daily grounds care, the role provides hands‑on support for College activities and events, such as setting up outdoor equipment, preparing spaces for assemblies and supervising the school crossing to ensure the safe arrival and departure of students. We are looking for someone reliable with a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic to demonstrate initiative and an appreciation for working collaboratively. Experience with driving a bus would be a valuable addition, enabling flexibility in supporting the transport needs of the College when required. This is a permanent, full‑time position commencing in January 2026.
