With more than 49 million active customers worldwide, Groupon operates out of 27 countries in 500 markets and employ more than 9,000 employees across the globe.Working out of our Sydney headquarters our Local Sales Division continues to establish Groupon as an integral marketing partner of top local businesses across Australia and New Zealand.Establishing the relationship with our business partners, your role as a Business Development Consultant is to highlight the best possible opportunities for our subscribers.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesIdentify, engage, consult and close new local business owners across a wide spectrum of categories (including food, drink, health, beauty etc) on the benefits of featuring their business with GrouponDevising marketing features that will assist merchants to increase and calibrate customer traffic and closing these deals over the phoneOwn the full sales cycle from prospecting, cold calling and pipeline managementThe ideal candidateA positive and consultative approach, combined with an unyielding passion to succeedPassionate and fearless in a sales environment and loves the thrill of the sales chaseEnthusiastic selling over the phone and comfortable cold calling various types of businessesStrong negotiation and consultation skillsCaptive learner, excited about the opportunity to develop consultative sales skillsPrior Sales (inbound / outbound) or Customer Service experience not essential but highly advantageousAn outgoing personality and a great sense of humourWhat you get in returnExperience working for one of the fastest growing ecommerce companies in the world with unparalleled career opportunitiesComprehensive induction to the business at our Sydney HQ and ongoing trainingWork in our
