We are looking for Accounts Officer – Triage (VPS3 Equivalent) Melbourne CBD , 4-month contract with an Immediate start . About the Role The Accounts Officer – Triage is responsible for managing a high-volume invoicing triage inbox, processing financial transactions within established policies, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounts payable activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support compliance, resolve enquiries, and maintain strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare financial transactions in line with accounts payable policies and procedures. Manage the central triage inbox, ensuring timely processing of invoices through Oracle Cloud. Apply correct accounting and tax treatment to all invoicing transactions. Communicate with suppliers regarding non‑compliance, discrepancies or required corrections. Support finance teams with advice, education and clarification of AP processes and controls. Respond to internal and external enquiries and manage ServiceNow requests efficiently. Key Requirements Demonstrated experience using ERP systems (Oracle or similar) in an accounts payable setting. Strong data literacy, including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts). Sound problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret guidelines and elevate appropriately. Ability to influence through logical reasoning supported by facts and examples. Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining quality under time pressure. Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on timely resolution and customer service. High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial transactions.
