Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Clayton. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. As a key member of our team, you will also provide administrative support to other departments as needed. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees with precision and timeliness, ensuring the accurate calculation of deductions, entitlements, superannuation, taxes, and leave accruals. Promptly address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors to maintain accurate records. Maintain and update employee details, including salary, tax, and banking information. Lodging Superannuation, Leave Plus & Incolink contributions/reports. Preparation of relevant management reports, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly and year‑end reports. Stay up‑to‑date with agreements/awards and contract interpretation in relation to leave entitlements, overtime, allowances etc. Provide administrative support to other departments and team members as needed to ensure smooth business operations. About You Minimum 3 years experience as a Payroll Officer. Experience within the construction industry is highly regarded. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and payroll software Wage Easy (preferred). Previous EBA experience is highly advantageous. Display precision and accuracy, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard. Self‑motivated with excellent problem‑solving and observation skills. Eager to learn and develop, showing initiative and adaptability. Ability to work within a team, as well as independently.
