The company's overall recruitment strategy for this brand is to appoint hands‑on, business‑savvy and accountable managers to develop the potential of each venue and drive occupancy growth. The Role: Birch Hotel Group is looking for a live‑in, highly motivated motel management couple. Arrangement can be permanent or casual as a relief up to 3 months at our various locations in North QLD. Responsibilities Handling payments and financial reconciliations. Increase and respond to online OTA reviews and improve online ratings. Ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Managing budgets, financial reporting and bookkeeping. Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue. Ensure rooms, grounds and pool are always well maintained and presented to the highest standard. General banking and administration duties. Manage stock levels and monitor supplies. Understand that motel management can be 24/7 and be willing to assist with late check‑ins or emergencies if required. Attend to general maintenance as required and liaise with tradesmen when necessary to ensure everything is kept in good working order. Qualifications One partner must have handyman experience. The other partner must have motel management experience. Well‑presented, professional, warm and friendly customer service skills. Experience with motel booking system is necessary. Previous experience in motel or hotel management is necessary. Experience and hands‑on skills are must. General maintenance and gardening skills required. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Strong financial and budgeting skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, including knowledge of property management systems. Be seeking a long‑term commitment. Providing police and drug clearance report are a must. What We Offer Two‑Bedroom house living arrangement is free. $280 daily rate as a couple. Plus bonus is on offer for driven managers. Generally, one person would cover the administrative load, whilst the other would cover rooms, grounds and maintenance and pool.
