The Team: The Paediatrics Psychologist is part of a larger psychology team supporting both inpatient and outpatient services; we are a small and mighty team with a diverse range of skills who promote work life balance and continuing professional development. The Paediatric psychologist's core work is with Out of Home Care children and youth to improve access to supports by assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions and working closely with other health professionals to facilitate care options. The Role: Provide evidence-based assessments to aid the understanding of the difficulties and strengths a child and young person may be experiencing to facilitate recommendations regarding support needs. Provide consultative advice to carers and staff regarding trauma informed care, childhood developmental disorders and how best to support children and youth. Provide time limited therapeutic supports during the assessment phase to children and young person. You will need: Registration as a Psychologist through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Hold a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration Experience working with children and young people Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment: Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, 8 January 2026 until 31 December 2026. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Allowances: Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum Benefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways. Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
