About the Role We’re looking for a curious, motivated person with a passion for data and analytics to join our IT & Data team. You’ll start by learning and shadowing, then grow into a confident Business Intelligence professional capable of delivering insights that make a difference. This role offers a structured development pathway from learning core tools and systems to owning BI projects that drive real business impact. Your Development Path First 3 Months: Learn our systems, shadow development tasks, and build strong foundations in SQL, Power BI, and dashboarding. 6 Months: Manage daily data refreshes, maintain live dashboards, and respond to ad hoc data requests. 12 Months: Independently deliver analysis projects that shape business decisions and contribute to best practices. What You’ll Do Build and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards. Deliver insights that drive decision‑making, not just numbers. Work with Business Central data (Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing). Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and validate data. Collaborate with business units to understand needs and design solutions. Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility across the business. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences. Contribute to building a data‑driven culture as Barrett’s scales up. What You’ll Bring Hands‑on exposure to Business Central , SQL , and Power BI . Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or IT . Preferred 2–5 years’ experience in BI, data, or analytics roles. Experience with Azure , SSRS , Google Analytics , or PowerShell . Experience working with Business Central data models or integrations. Bonus Skills SQL Server database administration and performance tuning. Advanced Business Central knowledge (Finance, Inventory, Projects, Warehousing). Experience leading solution implementations.
