As Clinical Nurse Consultant 2 (CNC2) at the newly established Nepean Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAMHU), you will bring expert clinical insight, strategic vision, and compassionate leadership to a team dedicated to supporting young people aged 12–17 with complex mental health needs. What you will bring to the role Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to use same as required for the position Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in Mental Health/Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing and post graduate qualifications in Mental Health/Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate Evidence of consistent demonstration of behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation with all stakeholders including colleagues, direct reports patients and consumers. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a interdisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework to clinical practice. Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence‑based research. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning. Ability to apply clinical expertise in patient‑centered consultancy with the ability to work effectively both as a member of an interdisciplinary care team and independently.
