Workplace Services Officer – NSW Department of Communities and Justice Location Parramatta. Employment Type Full-time, ongoing. Salary $113,574.00 – $125,720.00 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Role Overview This newly created role supports our growing portfolio of Centrally Managed Offices. As a proactive and people‑focused Workplace Services Officer, you will oversee and coordinate daily workplace operations of our agile offices, ensuring safety, compliance and a welcoming environment for staff, management and executive leaders. Reporting to the Manager Workplace Hubs, you will be part of the Programs & Partnerships Communities team, delivering human‑centred solutions across a portfolio of sites within Sydney Metro and Greater Sydney. What You’ll Do Lead the delivery of workplace services across a portfolio of sites, playing a pivotal role in ensuring workplaces are safe, functional and aligned with departmental standards. Provide customer‑centric support to DCJ staff and management, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with building operations teams, contracted service providers and corporate services to manage service level agreements and departmental policies on health, safety, sustainability and accessibility. Take a proactive approach to workplace safety, leading risk assessments and managing safety programs for employee wellbeing. Analyse workplace performance metrics and provide data‑driven recommendations to inform strategic decisions. Expand your project and program management capabilities, gaining experience in governance, systems and tools. What We’re Looking For Demonstrated experience in managing workplace services or facilities, ideally in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, delivering high‑quality, human‑centred customer service. Detail‑oriented with a focus on precision and care. Ability to work independently and thrive in collaborative environments, showing adaptability and accountability. Ability to build credible relationships, actively listen and tailor communication for different audiences. Valid NSW driver’s licence. Travel across Sydney Metro / Greater Sydney portfolio required.
