Construction Manager

An ASX Top 50 industrial leader is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering one of their major capital projects. Based in the Illawarra region, this contract opportunity runs through to March 2027 and will see you take a key leadership position overseeing site-based construction activities critical to project success. You will play a pivotal role in: Leading the construction strategy and execution planning across mechanical, civil, electrical, and fabrication scopes Providing constructability input during the design phase to ensure efficient and safe execution Overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations, standards, and project governance frameworks Building and managing a strong, safety-focused construction team and driving a culture of accountability and performance Managing contractors, cost, schedule, and quality to achieve project KPIs Supporting commissioning, handover, and defect rectification phases Experience required: 15+ years leading the construction of major heavy industrial or complex infrastructure projects Knowledge and experience in Heavy industrial manufacturing facilities and associated infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams while fostering a culture built around safety, collaboration, and accountability A strong track record in developing and implementing construction methodologies, risk frameworks, and execution plans that deliver to scope, budget, and schedule A degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience gained through progressive senior roles Experience overseeing tender processes, negotiating contracts, and managing large-scale contractor and supplier relationships Start Date: As soon as possible Hourly Rate: Dependent on experience If you are interested, please apply now.
