Our client has been operating in the Tasmanian market for many years and is experiencing exponential growth, thanks to a collaborative culture driven by the company’s directors. They employ over fifty full‑time staff and provide turnkey/one‑stop shop design and delivery solutions for clients in the Commercial/Industrial, Agricultural, and Mining industries, including shopping centres, car showrooms, industrial warehousing, rural structures and public facilities. Typical project values range from $2m to $15m. Due to increased workload, a newly created position has become available for an experienced Construction Manager who can manage project teams and oversee multiple projects at various stages of design and delivery. Based in modern offices in the Launceston area and reporting to the General Manager/Operations Director, the role includes: Taking full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of all projects under construction to ensure safe completion within time, cost and quality. Managing and motivating teams of Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Contract Administrators and other staff. Identifying risk and opportunity in every aspect of the business. Working in collaboration with all parties to ensure successful outcomes. Facilitating project performance reporting, ensuring leadership visibility of key metrics including safety, budget, progress, risks and variances. Working collaboratively with the board of directors and other stakeholders. The successful applicant will have: Unrestricted work rights in Australia. At least ten years’ experience delivering projects of this nature. Experience with a Tier two construction company managing multiple projects. Tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering or a related field. Checkable references. Ability to pass pre‑employment medicals and police checks.
