Project Manager – Construction / Mechanical Projects Millennium Rigging is seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team and help deliver multiple mechanical and rigging projects across Victoria. We operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment , supporting leading contractors across commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. We are looking for someone who can stand on their own two feet — a motivated, organised and experienced professional capable of running and assisting with multiple projects simultaneously. About the Role As Project Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of mechanical and construction projects. You’ll work closely with our Business Unit Manager, site teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Mechanical background/ experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Undertake minor design work and carry out basic engineering calculations. Prepare and review project quotations and tender submissions. Source quotations for hire equipment and specialist subcontractors. Place orders for materials, sub‑contract trades, and equipment. Prepare and manage project variations, site instructions, and workshop drawings (AutoCAD). Organise delivery of materials and labour to site, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements. Coordinate site installation activities, progress tracking, QA checks, and toolbox meetings. Conduct and review site safety assessments and implement the company Safety Plan. Manage subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and equipment hire. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are achieved. Maintain site diaries, safety documentation, and compliance registers. About You We’re looking for a motivated individual who can work autonomously and handle the challenges of a fast‑paced, high-volume project environment. Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in construction or mechanical projects. Trade qualification or engineering background highly regarded. Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and compliance requirements. Excellent organisation, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and general computer applications. Proven ability to price, plan, and deliver projects to a high standard. Safety-focused, diligent, and committed to maintaining high performance across all project activities.
