Quantum Industries GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Vienna, focusing on the development and maintenance of software for our cutting-edge Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems. This role is instrumental in crafting secure, efficient, and reliable software solutions that enhance the performance and security of our QKD products deployed globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust software for our advanced QKD systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with other engineers to create software that is not only secure but also highly efficient and capable of operating under stringent conditions.
- Process Improvement: Enhance development methodologies by supporting and improving software development processes, testing, and DevOps practices.
- Cybersecurity Enhancement: Optionally, contribute expertise in network management and cybersecurity to fortify our systems against emerging threats.
We Seek:
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a focus on security and reliability.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust, with a strong preference for experience in Rust.
- Concurrent Software Development: Expertise in developing concurrent and asynchronous software, essential for managing the sophisticated operations of QKD systems.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
- High-performance computing
- Security-sensitive systems
- Fail-safe systems and certified software
- Distributed systems
- Tool Proficiency: Solid understanding of GIT, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, crucial for maintaining efficient and collaborative development environments.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills, particularly German, are advantageous.
- Citizenship: EU27 citicenship is mandatory for this position.
