Client Executive (Insurance Broker)

The Client Executive in Honanâs Real Estate division is responsible for contributing to the business growth objectives of Honan Insurance Group through the development of new business and retention of existing business, specifically in nominated accounts within the Real Estate team. While servicing a portfolio of accounts as allocated by the Client Manager or other senior manager within the function, ensuring high quality customer service.

Collaborating and Partnering for Client Value

  • Assist in the maintenance of a portfolio of clients and providing front line client service in respect of those accounts  
  • Implementing renewal and broking strategies in accordance with instructions received from Account Managers while liaising with claims staff to ensure clientsâ interests are protected.
  • Ensure appropriate information flow with team leader and management so the correct people are kept informed and expectations are well managed both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring the completion of activities delegated within determined parameters.
  • Manage client and underwriter expectations.
  • Achieve agreed growth budgets
  • Pre-Renewals process must be commenced in accordance with Honan Strat SLA timeframes  

Inspiring with Operational Excellence

  • Same day attention to claims department requests and correspondence with a focus on customer outcomes
  • Answering and responding to daily client enquiries 
  • Assisting in the development and training of other team members  
  • Liaising with clients & insurers and addressing any basic enquiries raised. 
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate production/processing of administration duties including invoices, quotes, premium and adjustments calculations. 
  • File management in accordance with Honan standard.
  • Issue all documentation in accordance with our compliance requirements and Broking manuals including timeframes.
  • Ensure Risk Management and Compliance with the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice and all Corporate Governance regarding Privacy. OH&S, Self-Conduct etc. With procedures and processes are adhered to.
  • Complete all compulsory training within the required timeframes 
  • Attend and participate in all required training courses 
  • Read Industry publications and newsletters (e.g. Insurance News) to stay on top of topical issues in our industry 

Satisfying and reaching with new technologies

  • Ensuring compliance of systems and processes with the relevant legislation
  • Complete Self-development training as agreed by you and your manager within the agreed timeframes.
  • Maintaining the up to date management of databases, information systems and organisation company records. 
  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to Honan company policies & principles. 
  • Gathering relevant client information and identifying key issues to give assistance in negotiations. 
  • Continually maintaining and acquiring an awareness of the industry, client's business and insurance needs. 
  • Complete compulsory training and self-development training as agreed by you and your manager within the agreed timeframes 
  • Display increased technical knowledge across multiple product lines 

Sharing Knowledge through Data and Analytics

  • Attend and contribute at all team meetings 
  • Gathering client information to support renewal documentation.
  • Inputting client information into organisations business systems to enable tracking of client invoices and payments 
  • Monitor and manage service delivery across new business quoting, renewals and claims 

What you need to have: 

  • Tier 1 & Tier 2 qualifications 
  • 3+ years insurance industry experience 
  • Broad knowledge of customer service standards 
  • Extensive knowledge of Honan Insurance Products and Services 
  • Technical Insurance/Broking skills in accordance with RG 146 requirements including: Insurance products, Legislative obligations, Claims processes and claims broking
