In addition to independent scientific research with the possibility of habilitation, your tasks include the participation in research and teaching.

Participation in research projects is expected within the framework of the Institute's priorities; this includes collaborating with other research partners and institutions, participating in the acquisition of third-party funding, organizing scientific events and carrying out administrative tasks.

The independent teaching of courses is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.

The supervision of students is an important contribution, especially with regard to the formation of a professional habitus for the later professional fields.


Profile:

  • Completed doctoral studies in Catholic theology (or PhD), which qualifies for research in religious education and is compatible with empiricalsocial science issues
  • Previous theological religious pedagogical experience in the area of the Institute's objectives
  • Didactic competence (on University level)
  • Enjoyment and interest in working with scientists from different disciplines
  • Social competence
  • Knowledge of the Austrian school system
  • Experience in religious education (completed teaching internship/traineeship "referendariat," teaching qualification examination etc.)
  • Suitable proof of qualifications (e.g. publications, teaching experience) in the field of religious education and Catechetics, experiences in qualitative social research and in the field of thirdparty funding are desirable
  • Experience with elearning
  • Knowledge of universityrelated processes and structures
