Job DescriptionAs a team member of our Solution Consulting group, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our future success by focusing on the Employee Experience, Customer Workflow, and ITX Solution Sales. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue for one of our products in collaboration with the Sales, Product Management, and executive teams. This position involves being a hands-on technical consultant who can deliver solutions effectively and position them strategically during sales processes.
What you'll be doing in this role:
The Solution Consultant is a technical expert with advanced skills in developing, positioning, and offering product-specific solutions throughout sales cycles, aiming to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for a designated territory.
- Support product sales as a technical and domain expert within a client-facing sales team
- Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and conduct product demonstrations to align our solutions with their needs
- Address product feature and technical inquiries from customers, channel partners, and colleagues
- Lead strategic initiatives in key accounts, such as customer journey sessions for roadmap development and agreement on outcomes
- Provide feedback to product management on enhancements that can address customer requirements and add further value
- Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with fellow Solution Consultants to enhance team quality and efficiency
- Stay abreast of competitive analysis and market differentiation
- Support marketing events like executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering within the specified product area
- Expertise in the ServiceNow platform or technical proficiency in cloud software solutions
- Experience in collaborative work with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
- Territory management skills, including pipeline development and collaboration with Sales counterparts to ensure operational excellence
- Readiness to travel as needed
