The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be based at Taren Point in Sydney’s South (moving to a new Head Office in Cronulla in Feb'25)
The Financial Planning & Analysis (Business Analyst) will be responsible for the group's financial planning, analysis and reporting function.
The role will support the short term and long term strategic objectives of the business by developing and monitoring budgets, forecast and investment decision evaluations.
They will operate as a true Business Partner to the Operation and Leadership Stakeholders across core group and JV partners.
This role will play a critical role in the Finance function and work closely with the CFO as we go through an exciting period of rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient delivery of financial analysis and reporting across the Group companies and JV Partners
- Maintain and evolve the three Way (PL, BS, CF) Model (Consolidated/Eliminated)
- Rolling 12 month Cash Flow Forecast
- Collation of all bank covenant reporting required including ICR/LVR measures and ensure Outsource Partner is delivering on-time, reconciled and correctly consolidated reporting
- Drive annual Budgeting and rolling forecast activities as the group executes its long-term plan to grow by more than double in the next 18 months
- Evolve our Investment Analysis and New Business Feasibility Models using IRR and other relevant metrix.
- Develop tailored KPI’s (and associated reporting) to drive individual/group performance
- Develop collaborate true Business Partnering relationships with Venue Licensee’s, Exec Chefs and Group Leadership team to provide insights and drive improved business decision support
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to eliminate manual reporting from disparate sources, transition required insights into our new BI solution (Weekly & monthly reports, Efficiencies etc)
- Work closely with our Financial Accounting outsource partner (Quantaco) to ensure core business systems reconcile to one source of truth and seamlessly feed into any BI/Reporting & Forecasting
- Work closely with our Financial Accounting outsource partner (Quantaco) to deliver evolved and effective business systems and reporting solutions; (Cashup, Salesline, Tanda & Phocas BI) which are all planned for rollout over the next 12 months
- Work with CFO to review BS rec’s and audit file with Quantaco in order to improve accuracy and speed of close
- Offer back-up/support with EOM Close and Analysis, Payables and Payroll tasks in an emergency
- Contribute to the monthly Board Report by standardising and evolving inputs from a rolling forecast/planning mindset
- Financial Modelling/Investment Analysis 3+ years’ experience in a multi-site/entity business in Hospitality, Retail or Property is essential
- Advanced Excel essential
- Experience with BI Tool/Data Warehouse such as Phocas or Similar would be advantageous
- Labour/Roster Analysis and basic understanding or award composition would be advantageous.
- A Degree or equivalent work experience in Financial Accounting to understand core accounting concepts, such as Inventory/Costing, Salaries/PAYG, ITR, EOM Close process etc.
- A Degree in Business and/or Financial Analysis would be advantageous.
- Experience handling complex entity structures
