Our Planning, Land Use Strategy, Housing, and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team within NSW Planning are currently seeking to appoint an Executive Director, Governance and Insights.
As the Executive Director, Governance and Insights, you will oversee a large team of specialists who ensure that planners, policy makers, and other stakeholders have access to user-focused evidence and insights. You will also manage cross-functional program delivery services for governance, monitoring and assurance functions to enhance the coordination and delivery confidence of programs across the Planning Group.
This is a key role which is responsible for upholding a streamlined and flexible governance framework to deliver key initiatives and strategies such as the Housing Program and Urban Development Programs.
About You
To be successful for this role, you will possess significant knowledge of the workings of government and in-depth knowledge and experience working with applicable legislation and regulations. You will be a technical expert in governance frameworks with a strong track record in delivering robust insights to facilitate decision making in a large and complex organisation.
It is essential that you possess exceptional communication skills which enables you to translate technical and complex information, and provide succinct summaries of evidence-based insights to suit the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences. You will also be adept at identifying and addressing new or emerging issues given a dynamic operating environment where matters may be diverse, complex and of a high profile and sensitive nature.
The key to your success will be high-level leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across various teams and negotiate effective outcomes with key stakeholders.
Essential requirements
- Degree qualification in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
