YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
The Social Senior Account Manager plays a central role in driving the social media agenda for Ford. You are responsible for leading the client relationship and driving the social content forward for both client and agency alike. You will support the team in creating purposeful, usable content, and meaningful experiences for our consumers. You handle the day-to-day delivery for Ford’s social content, while also staying focused on the bigger picture, delivering on the social strategy and implementation. You have strong communication skills, a passion for social channels, a deep knowledge of the Ford business and exceptional attention to detail. You will manage the creative ideation process and coordinate creation of content to support business priorities. Using data and analytics to inform decision making, client and project management, social media strategy to help enhance partnerships and maintaining relationships with the regional social team, influencers and owner groups, internal Ford stakeholders and agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational excellence in managing the Ford social content and calendar
- Deliver the agreed content strategy for Ford, using strong knowledge of digital content trends, technology and social media platforms
- Manage ambassador and influencer relationships including contractual agreements, fees and content delivery as required
- Research and stay up to date with social media trends across all major platforms to inform content strategy and creation
- Work collaboratively within the integrated Ford agency team, across client service, creative, media and strategy, to deliver creative and innovative content
- Proactively drive development of socially-led creative ideas, from brief through to implementation and post campaign optimisation, delivering impactful content purpose fit for the channel, on-time and on-budget
- Represent VML as the social expert for Ford, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the Ford business, the brand framework, key audience segments and roles of channels
- Liaise with Ford customer care team to align on tone of voice for responding to consumer queries via social channels (as needed)
- Brief, review and present social copy for BAU content calendar
- Effectively manage financials, overseeing production budgets, estimates, billings, purchase orders etc
- Proactively flags risks and opportunities around client engagements, team utilisation, project budget management etc.
- Proficient in all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok and LinkedIn
- Passionate about social media content creation, genuinely curious and committed to driving results
- Deep understanding of the Ford business, including Ford brand, automotive industry, competitor set, consumer behaviour
- A motivated self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment, loves a challenge
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, internally and client-facing
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow through skills
- Strong relationship management, organisational, and project management skills
- A problem solver, navigates challenges calmly, always remaining solutions-focussed
- An effective salesperson, able to sell a compelling idea in an engaging way
- Works effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Identify growth opportunities and incremental opportunities with client
- Actively contributes to team and agency culture
