Our partner is a well know recycling company. With a global market presence, the company is dedicated to rethink waste, and are committed to create a cleaner, and greener world. In this industrial environment, the company is looking to extend their sales team by hiring a Business Development Specialist. Within two years, the opportunity of Business Development Manager will present. The company culture is described as informal, professional and collaborative.
Job Description
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities through existing and new customers, managing the pipeline to deliver new business growth.
- Ensure new customers are implemented across all business processes and manage customer credit performance to maintain target.
- Collaborate with technical staff to develop opportunities and act as a link between customers and technical/production staff.
- Proactively contribute to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality initiatives (SHEQ).
- Gather market intelligence, report on key findings, forecast and schedule customer requirements, and prepare customer quotations.
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs, manage customer projects end-to-end, and play a key role in customer negotiations and complaint resolution.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the waste or related industries.
- Qualifications in business, science, or a related field is ideal.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate technical components and conduct market intelligence gathering, reporting, and acting on key findings.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial processes, including managing customer credit performance and achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong interpersonal savvy and customer focus, with proven skills in negotiating, winning new customers, and resolving customer complaints.
