The Opportunity
The T2D Contract Management Directorate has recently been established to provide expertise and best practice commercial and contract management services for the North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office construction contracts.
As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide professional commercial expertise to ensure the successful establishment and delivery of the commercial framework for key T2D contracts. You will manage the Project Alliance Agreement Cost Assurance Program, provide guidance on Adjustment Events, and establish a benchmarking program to proactively identify and address potential commercial risks.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual with demonstrated experience in commercial management, project and risk management, and data analysis. You should have strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop specialist solutions that align with departmental objectives. Your ability to provide expert advice and consultancy to senior management and stakeholders across all levels will be key to your success.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Expertise in commercial management and risk management
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing complex construction-related contractual matters
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence sensitive negotiations and engage stakeholders effectively
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering, Construction, Law or a related field is essential.
A current Driver's Licence is essential.
Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check (NPC) prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
