About the Role
The School of Culture and Communication (SCC) seeks to appoint fixed-term Subject Coordinators to teach and manage the following subjects:

Reporting to the Head of Program, these roles involve coordinating lectures, tutorials, and seminars, handling administrative tasks, and developing teaching materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and conduct lectures,seminars, and tutorials to a high standard.
  • Resolve student issues or escalateto therelevant Head of Programwherenecessary.
  • Mark assessment,provide timely feedback to students and record results into the appropriate results recordsystem.
  • Undertake subject coordination duties including the maintenance of Learning Management System (LMS) sites and subject guides.

Who We Are Looking For
You will ideally possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additionally, you demonstrate outstanding organisational skills, manage time effectively, are efficient at multitasking, and meeting deadlines effectively.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments for diverse student cohorts, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, based on understanding their learning orientations.
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures relevant to teaching and student support and welfare.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
