Opportunity to develop and lead the content strategy – Be creative, introduce new channels with a mix medium – Video, Infographics, Podcasts, Webinars
Research, writing and editing of articles for a range of of their publications and advertisements
Manage external suppliers in the development of concepts, text, design, photography, print or other production services/ budget responsibilities.
Media management
Provide advice to the CEO and Executive team to guide responses to media queries.
Monitor the media and alert the CEO and Executive team to relevant information so the business can respond to developments in a timely manner.
Public and government relations
Consult with Public Relations specialists for the provision of Government relations advice: ensure a constant flow of information between the two organisations; write of submissions when required; develop and write of further correspondence, meeting briefs, policy papers and other materials as required.
Corporate communications
Prepare the annual report, climate change risk report, submissions to government, regulators, annual member meeting presentations, member outcomes report, content strategy (in conjunction with the marketing manager), messaging for the call centre.
Develop and manage corporate messaging content and delivery.
Client DescriptionOur client is an independent profit-to-members superannuation fund providing retirement solutions to Australian’s for over 25 years. Their journey was born out of the demand for better superannuation for rural and regional Australia. Today they are proud of their successful growth, now a multi-industry super fund open to all, with specialisations in the recruitment, health, aged care and education industries.
The Communications Manager is responsible for managing key communications projects. Responsibilities include developing the corporate communications strategy, government relations advice, media management, collaborating with senior executives, ensuring accurate and compliant communications are delivered on time and to budget, working with internal and external stakeholders on the Fund’s corporate positioning and leading content development for the Funds overarching content strategy.
Other Requirements- This role will suit an experience communications manager who enjoys a broad role where they will have an opportunity to bring their ideas to life and take a fresh approach.
- Demonstrated experience at a communications manager level within the financial services sector is essential. Exposure to the superannuation environment is preferred.
- Excellent writing skills, project management ability, presentation skills, stakeholder engagement, analytical skills and questioning skills.
- Demonstrated media management and government relations experience
- Ability to work across online and digital marketing communication channels.
