**Background**:
The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence
- and security-building measures, human rights, combating human trafficking, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.
The OSCE Secretariat in Vienna assists the Chairpersonship in its activities, and provides operational and administrative support to the field operations, and, as appropriate, to other institutions.
The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) deals with economic and environmental issues, operating under the premise that promoting economic prosperity and co-operation on environmental problems can contribute to international security and stability. The OSCE's role is twofold: a) to monitor economic and environmental developments among participating States, and alert them to any threat of instability, and b) to facilitate the formulation of economic and environmental policies and initiatives among participating States, to promote security.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
As Assistant Project Officer, you will work within the extra-budgetary (ExB) project n. 1102564 on "Supporting anti-corruption efforts of the Government of Moldova", in co-ordinating project activities in the area of prevention, investigation and prosecution of corruption. The extra-budgetary project aims to increase the capacities of the relevant agencies of the Republic of Moldova to prevent, investigate and combat corruption.
As Assistant Project Officer, you will work under the supervision of the Project Officer, who will be a focal point for implementation of the project. You will be part of the team of the project composed of the Project Officers and the Project Assistant in the OSCE Secretariat within the OCEEA/Economic Governance Unit.
**More specifically, your tasks will be the following**:
Organizing logístical requirements for Project events (capacity-building events, workshops, trainings, conferences and meetings). This includes preparing agendas, and other project documentation for approval by the Project Managers, maintaining the List of Participants, putting in place ICT and other equipment, stationery, refreshments, etc., travel planning such as arrangement of accommodation and transport requirements and maintenance of communication with all event participants and relevant staff;
Preparing administrative documents and background material pertaining to the issues addressed by the project activities (in virtual assets, digitalization and anti-money laundering). Collecting data required for the preparation of reports related to the implementation of the project, including interim and final progress reports for submission to the donor, project evaluation reports and briefing papers on project implementation;
Developing project activities and liaising with counterparts to facilitate their support and participation. Preparing, under instruction, terms of reference for the employment of consultants and implementing partners and monitoring the implementation of activities and submission of reports by the implementing partners and consultants;
Monitoring budget expenditure, giving estimates of costs for individual Project activities and proposing budgetary and/or expenditure adjustments. Administering system-related tasks;
Liaising with international, regional and national governmental and non-governmental institutions with the purpose of collecting and sharing information and co-ordinating activities in the area of preventing and combating corruption;
Performing other duties as assigned.
**Necessary Qualifications**:
First-level university degree in international relations, political science, economics, law, social sciences, good governance, anti-corruption, public administration;
A minimum of two years of professional-level experience in good economic governance, public administration and anti-corruption;
Work experience in project development and management;
Understanding of and experience in security-related economic governance issues, in particular anti-money laundering and anti-corruption issues;
Experience in carrying out analysis and conceptualization;
Established ability to take initiative and work in a team, to establish and maintain external partnerships as well as effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds whilst remaining impartial and objective;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of the Russian, Moldovan and/or Romanian languages would be an asset;
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a
