Nature and aim of the position

The AP Specialist supports the Accounts Payable function of the Shared Service Center in Vienna in both transactional/operational (ensuring complete, accurate, and timely booking of transactions under AP accounts) and project-related aspects (SOX implementation, process improvements).

The holder of the role is expected to perform a 40-hour work week.

Main duties:

- Maintenance and management of vendor master data ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance (in consideration of internal GB policies and SOX)
- Responsible for processing invoices for payment utilizing RSO and Medius (the standard invoice processing system used in Global Blue)
- Provide accurate and timely reconciliations, analyses and ad hoc reports to meet management/audit requirements
- Work collaboratively with various departments/stakeholders in topics related to accounts payable
- Complete other project-related tasks identified as high priority or as required by the line or functional manager.

Reporting and collaboration
- Financial/GL Accounting teams of entities handled
- Central Cash Management Team based in SSC Vienna
- Communication with stakeholders in local countries
- Finance Management
- GBIT

Profile and education
- Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting or other related fields
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable process (or some other equivalent Finance process) gained through financial accounting experience for at least a year
- Knowledge of local accounting rules and relevant legislation for some EU countries an advantage
- Experience in/knowledge of process and project implementations, including SOX

Specific skills and knowledge
- Computer skills: Proficiency or expertise in Exact or some other ERP systems, VBA knowledge an advantage
- Organizational, problem-solving skills, and prioritization skills
- Language skills: Advanced level of English (written and verbal); other languages like French, Spanish or German will be considered an advantage
- Strong team player with social competence and communication skills, especially when working with different target groups within an international environment
- Independent, reliable, results-oriented, and self-motivated
- Customer oriented and highly proactive with adaptable approach
