The Department of History of Art at the University of Vienna is one of the oldest and biggest centers for research and education in its field. It focuses on the visual arts in Europe from late antiquity to the present day, and on islamic and asian art. There are currently 2000 students. A full "post-doc" position as university assistant is available at the Department of History of Art as soon as possible. Duration of the contract: six years.

**Duration of employment**: 6 year/s

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Assistance of Prof. Sebastian Egenhofer in teaching and research, post-doctoral qualification ('Habiliation'), Independent teaching of art history (19th - 21st cent., four hours per week during the semester), participation in the Administration of the Institute. Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (relevant work experience might result in assessment to a higher salary grade).

**Profile**:
Above-average completed PhD with focus on the art of the 19th - 21st century; you should be a teamplayer with didactic qualifications, teaching experience (including E-learning), and experience in academic research and self-administration.
