Job Overview

Ribbon Biolabs GmbH seeks a talented Biotechnologist to join its DNA synthesis team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields.


Role Responsibilities
  • Analyze biological data, focusing on genomics and synthetic biology datasets.
  • Develop computational tools and contribute to research and production projects involving DNA synthesis and assembly.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in bioinformatics concepts, algorithms, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python, R, Perl, or Java.
  • Experience with bioinformatics software packages and tools for sequence analysis, genome assembly, and data visualization (e.g., BLAST, Bowtie, SAMtools, RStudio, Bioconductor, Biopython).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and software (e.g., R, MATLAB, SPSS).
  • Knowledge of molecular biology and genetics principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position ranges from EUR 53,000 to EUR 58,000 per year, based on Austrian law. The actual salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
