Job Title: Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a 5-star hotel in Lech, Austria.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of pastry chefs and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the hotel's culinary offerings.
  • Ensure the quality of raw and cooked food products meets the highest standards.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering supplies within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and visually appealing desserts.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
Requirements:
  • 4 years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or 2 years as a Head Pastry Chef in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and on occasion, early mornings.
  • Excellent knowledge of the pastry and bakery section.
  • Fluency in English or German.
