About the Role
As a BI Analyst/Engineer, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights. You will use statistical tools, programming languages, and data visualization techniques to support data-driven decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Processing: Gather data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets), clean and validate it to ensure accuracy, and prepare it for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods, algorithms, and analytical techniques to analyze data sets. Identify significant trends, patterns, and relationships.
- Data Visualization: Create detailed and interactive visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or custom dashboards to present findings clearly.
- Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Design and Build Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Finance to understand their data needs and provide relevant analyses.
Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Experience with Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Data Visualization: Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and the ability to create compelling visual narratives.
- Data Modelling: Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Salary Information
The estimated salary range for this position is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
