Application Development Specialist

At Celanese, we are seeking a skilled Application Development Specialist to drive growth and innovation in our Engineered Materials portfolio.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and commercializing growth opportunities in Industrial and Consumer markets. Your expertise in engineering polymers will enable you to lead the application development process, collaborating with Marketing, Product, Technical, and Sales teams to drive new growth opportunities and extensions to successful commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and commercialize growth opportunities for our Engineered Materials portfolio in Industrial and Consumer markets.
- Lead the application development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive new growth opportunities and extensions to successful commercialization.
- Enter and maintain opportunities in SFDC through commercialization.
- Ensure adequate hand-off to the relevant account manager or channel partner when commercial negotiation starts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
- Solid technical background on engineering polymers.
- Experience in engineering polymers within a business/technology/application context is preferred.
- Good communication and people skills in a complex environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- A team player with independent working capability.
- Up-to-date knowledge in information technology and computer skills.
- Good discipline with a sense of urgency to meet commitments.
- Self-motivated and result-oriented.
- Native German language skills and high proficiency in English.
- Valid driving license.
Travel Requirements: 40-50% travel is required for this role.
