Project Manager - Safety Critical Software Development (f/m/x)

As a key member of the train control product development team, you will be responsible for the technical project management of the development and integration of safety critical components for new versions of track side solutions. With your technical expertise in complex systems and project management, you will be the right person for this position. Be part of our team at Hitachi Rail in Austria

Your CHALLENGE
  • Technical project management and coordination of the development of our new virtualized interlocking solutions.
  • Coordinating and leading a distributed development team of 10 people.
  • Managing project with respect to project milestones, scope and budget.
  • Manage issues and risks, create mitigation plans and escalate to appropriate stakeholders as necessary.
  • Communication and reporting of status and critical issues in a short and concise format.
  • Working in an international team and in cooperation with other business line units.
  • Working in the area of safety critical systems.
  • Contributing to a large integration project.
Your PROFILE
  • Technical education, preferably Master studies in Computer Science or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with technical project management with a focus of SW resp. SW/HW engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of safety critical systems or experience in railway domain is an advantage.
  • Positive attitude and persistence are key to succeed in this role.
  • Competitive mindset, strong desire to achieve.
  • Knowledge of project management tools.
  • Excellent level of German and good level of English.
  • Experience in Software Integration.

  • The salary for this position starts at € 70.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
