Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Test Engineer to join our team at AVL List GmbH. As a Battery Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and setting up test arrangements on our battery test benches, planning and executing tests, and developing measurement and control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and set up test arrangements on battery test benches
  • Plan and execute tests, evaluate test results, and document findings
  • Develop measurement and control procedures and execute measurements
  • Calibrate measuring systems
  • Maintain and operate the battery laboratory
  • Develop and further develop measurement and control procedures for battery test rigs
  • Apply new measuring systems
  • Suggest improvements to laboratory/test bench equipment and tests

Requirements:

  • Completed education (Secondary Technical College) with a focus on electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related electrical profession
  • Laboratory experience desirable: test set-ups, PLC programming, and automation, experience in handling LiIon cells and HV batteries
  • Very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite, good knowledge of German is desirable

Annual Remuneration:

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
