Supply Chain Business Manager

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Business Manager will be responsible for defining metrics and monitoring supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement. This role will involve evaluating quality and setting performance benchmarks, as well as identifying risks associated with supplier selection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing strategies
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize quality and manufacturability of new products
  • Establish goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve shortages and supply chain disruptions
  • Represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams to ensure internal and external customer needs are met
  • Work with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials
  • Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
  • More than 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience, managing global suppliers on direct and indirect materials and services
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing agreements and contracting
  • Experience in developing, managing, and improving supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment, and Leadtime
  • Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards, and organization
  • Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, with solid analytical skills
  • Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Solid written and oral communication skills in English, with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, with ERP familiarity (SAP experience a plus)
