Chief Event Coordinator: Luxury Hotel

Mandarin Oriental, Vienna is a prestigious luxury hotel seeking an experienced Chief Event Coordinator to join our team.
SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is approximately €60,000 - €80,000, commensurate with experience.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual to oversee the planning and execution of various events at our hotel. As Chief Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate event menus, buffets, and beverage services;
- Ensuring all event venues are fully prepared 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times, including lighting, music, decorations, and other details;
- Verifying the accuracy of printed materials, menus, and buffet tags for each event.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to:
- Enforce and monitor operational standards, adhering to company policies, SOPs, and quality measures;
- E nsure seamless audio-visual equipment functionality and consult with organizers on optimal sound and visual effects;
- Verify the accuracy of all printed materials, menus, and buffet tags for every event;
- Lead a diverse team of employees with sensitivity and discipline;
- Foster open communication with guests, addressing both complaints and positive feedback;
- Demonstrate high-quality awareness and a keen sense of trends in the hospitality industry.
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
- A completed vocational training in upscale hotels or catering industries;
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar position;
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of German and English languages, with additional foreign language skills advantageous;
- A resilient and flexible attitude, with willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
