Software Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Solutions Engineer to join our team at REWE International AG. This is a full-time position based in Vienna, Austria.
About the RoleAs a Software Solutions Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and supporting technological and architectural solutions within your area of responsibility. Your primary focus will be on developing architectural target images and transformation paths, both in terms of content and as a facilitator. You will work closely with product teams to design and implement software systems, ensuring compliance with architectural principles, technical debt, and relevant IT trends.
You will be responsible for documenting the architecture and technology within your area of responsibility, making decisions on architecture/technology, and coordinating technical details with software engineers. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and coaching for developers, engineers, and other team members.
Your tasks will also include evaluating and designing architectures with regard to functional and non-functional requirements, as well as supporting the implementation and documentation of new technical requirements.
About the Ideal Candidate- Completed technical education with a focus on IT (HTL, FH, TU) or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the IT industry, including significant experience in the design and implementation of software systems
- Excellent knowledge of software/application design and architecture
- Experience in software development with Java and especially Spring Boot (knowledge of web technologies is beneficial)
- Good understanding of software development life cycle and QA principles
- Proven understanding of professional IT architecture design in the age of Cloud (especially GCP), agile teams, container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), DevOps, microservice architectures, and design thinking

The estimated salary for this position is €64,000 per year, based on a full-time basis. However, we offer a performance-based annual gross salary that can increase according to experience and qualifications.
