At REWE International AG, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on developing cutting-edge solutions to enhance our digital platforms and optimize customer experiences.

About the Role
  • We are looking for a talented Java Developer with expertise in Spring Boot Framework to design, optimize, and future-proof IT solutions for global usability.
  • You will lead end-to-end software development lifecycle, including rollout and support, to ensure efficient, testable code.
  • As a member of our team, you will collaborate with us to build scalable products for international markets and drive knowledge transfer, documentation standards, and agile methodologies.
  • Your responsibilities will also include innovating & optimizing applications, contributing to the company's technological transformation, and fostering personal and professional growth within the team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Java backend development is required, along with strong Java skills and proficiency in relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • An agile mindset, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English are essential for this role.
  • Additional technical expertise in cloud computing (GPC), Microservices, and Git is preferred but not mandatory.
