Senior Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at REWE International AG in Vienna, Austria.
About the Role:
- Design and develop an optimal data architecture to provide a high-quality basis for use cases in the field of analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and backend developers to understand and implement data requirements.
- Support in designing and creating new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from different data sources (on-prem & cloud).
- Utilize state-of-the-art methods to provide a future-proof and scalable platform.
- Assist in ongoing and upcoming modernization initiatives.
- Foster creative solutions for challenges using experience and out-of-the-box thinking.
About You:
- A minimum of several years of professional experience in data engineering, relational databases, and SQL (ideally Oracle).
- Prior experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Platform is beneficial.
- Expertise in conceiving and creating data models and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data pipelines utilizing Kafka, StreamSets, Apache NiFi, or similar tools is an advantage.
- A solid grasp of technologies like Git, IaC (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD, and database procedural programming (e.g., PL/SQL) or data transformation and modeling tools (e.g., dbt).
- An interest in modern data architectures and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes.
- A high level of personal responsibility and adaptability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
