Job Summary

We seek a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our agile product team. As part of this role, you will design and build new products that are maintainable, extensible, and scalable, extending and updating existing code bases, adding new features, and refactoring them to adhere to current best practices.

About You

  • You have completed a technical education (HTL, Uni, FH, or similar)
  • You possess at least 3 years of proven experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
  • Your Java expertise also includes working with recent LTS versions
  • You have a good understanding and prior experience with idiomatic Kotlin code
  • Prior hands-on experience with SQL and Database Design, ideally with Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • You've applied these technical skills to build new applications and refactor existing codebases
  • Prior experience with Docker, CI/CD (Gitlab), and Kubernetes in a GitOps setting, along with acquaintance with at least one cloud provider (preferably Google Cloud)
  • Good knowledge of designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Knowledge of best practice approaches to unit testing Spring Boot applications, ideally using TDD
  • Confident in performing team-related development tasks like receiving and performing merge requests as well as pair and mob programming
  • Very good English skills (team language is English)
  • You're a team player who likes to discuss ideas and share knowledge
  • Self-organized and goal-oriented way of working
