Data Engineer CRM Lead Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our CRM team at REWE International AG. This is a full-time position based in Vienna, Austria.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual gross salary for this position is 45,000 Euro, with the possibility of higher pay based on experience and qualifications. Job DescriptionAs a Data Engineer in the CRM team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing an optimal data architecture to provide a high-quality basis for use cases in the field of analytics and reporting. You will work closely with analysts, product managers, and backend developers to understand and implement data requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include designing and creating new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from different data sources, as well as ensuring state-of-the-art methods to provide a future-proof and scalable platform. You will also assist in the ongoing and upcoming modernization initiatives and find creative solutions for challenges using your experience and out-of-the-box thinking.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Several years of professional experience in the areas of data engineering, relational databases, and SQL (ideally Oracle)
- Practical experience with Snowflake Data cloud platform is a benefit
- Experience in conception and creation of data models and ETL processes
- Experience in creating data pipelines with Kafka, StreamSets, Apache Nifi or similar tools is an advantage
- Knowledge in procedural programming of database systems (e.g. PL/SQL) or in use of data transformation and modeling tools such as dbt (data build tool)
- Interest in modern data architectures and passion for data
- Analytical thinking and good understanding of business processes
- High level of personal responsibility and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
