**Company Overview**

As the IT department of REWE Group Austria, we work together with our over 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all corporate divisions in Austria and abroad. Our goal is to set the tone for modern trade.

Our team is responsible for defining and supporting technological and architectural solutions within their area of responsibility as Enterprise, Technology or Product Architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product teams to develop architectural target images and transformation paths.
  • Evaluate and design architectures based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Make decisions on architecture/technology.
  • Coordinate technical details with software engineers and enforce standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching for developers, engineers, and other team members.
  • Support the implementation and documentation of new technical requirements.
  • Collaborate on overarching topics with the central architecture team.
  • Contribute to our overall architecture and technology stack as part of our communities of practice.

Job Requirements
  • Completed technical education with a focus on IT (HTL, FH, TU) or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT industry, including significant experience in designing and implementing software systems.
  • Familiarity with systems design and architecture modeling (e.g., arc42, C4, Archimate).
  • Excellent knowledge of software/application design and architecture.
  • Experience in software development with Java and especially Spring Boot (knowledge of web technologies is beneficial).
  • Good understanding of the software development life cycle and QA principles.
  • Proven understanding of professional IT architecture design in the age of Cloud (especially GCP), agile teams, container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), DevOps, microservice architectures, and design thinking.
  • Knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture, such as integration, network, and security.
  • Technical mindset with great attention to detail.
  • High-quality organizational and communication skills.
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working.
  • Preferably CPSA (Certified Professional for Software Architecture) training.
