Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated research scientist to contribute to the development of advanced quantum sensing technology. As a PhD candidate, you will be responsible for conducting literature reviews, developing simulation models, and investigating novel quantum centers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantum mechanics and solid-state physics, with experience in simulation tools and programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication skills in English, are essential for this role.

This PhD thesis will focus on the comprehensive development of advanced quantum sensor technology using Silicon Carbide (SiC) color-center-defect based sensors. The project aims to explore the benefits of SiC technology, highlighting its mature fabrication techniques and capability to operate at room temperature.

You will have the opportunity to investigate various advanced topics, including quantum systems, device implementation, characterization, system architecture, and fabrication. Your work will involve collaboration with researchers and engineers to refine sensor designs and document findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct literature reviews on quantum sensing and SiC color-center-defect technologies
Develop and implement simulation models to predict sensor performance
Investigate novel quantum centers for quantum sensing, device simulation, implementation, characterization, system architecture, and fabrication
Analyze data to identify key parameters influencing sensor performance
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to refine sensor designs
Document and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
