Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Planning Strategist to join our Global Supply Chain Planning Team in Elsbethen/Salzburg.
In this role, you will be responsible for global material requirement planning (MRP) for components of our finished products using state-of-the-art tools and ensure short-term material availability in alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- You will determine net requirements to ensure semi-finished goods production can keep up with finished goods production.
- Propose order and replenishment quantities and timings to maintain short-term material availability.
- Ensure high data quality for all planning related parameters in our Planning Tools and Master Data Systems, tracking and monitoring NPIs.
- Plan and monitor the replenishment of semi-finished products within the production network, taking corrective actions for deviations between plan and actual values.
- Manage inventories to avoid waste and destruction of raw materials while ensuring all-time availability and demand coverage.
- Contribute to correct global long-term production/procurement planning and dependent requirements for semi-finished goods and raw materials.
- Analyze data and prepare it for the monthly alignment meeting between internal stakeholders such as planning, production, and procurement.
- Apply planning skills and system know-how to support/lead supply chain projects, leveraging expertise in SAP MM/PP, SAP APO, and master data systems like SAP MDG-M.
- 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably with knowledge of material requirements planning.
- Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar, or relevant professional experience in the field.
- Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in German considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in state-of-the-art planning processes and systems like SAP APO.
- Demonstrated interest in working within dynamic, fast-paced environments, particularly in global organizations.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with a penchant for fact-based decision-making.
- Open-minded, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Exhibits proactive behavior and a strong sense of focus, driving towards goals with determination.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Travel opportunities may arise, estimated at 0-10%.
