Job Title: Russian Language Reviser

We are seeking a highly skilled Russian Language Reviser to join our team at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). As a Reviser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of translations in Russian.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and proofread translations of translating staff to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Independently revise translations of translating staff to ensure high-quality output.
  • Assist in the development of the central terminology database and reference archives.
  • Provide translations of documents from English to Russian and/or from Russian to English.
  • Expertise and knowledge of translation support tools, particularly Trados Studio and Multiterm, are essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Advanced University degree in languages or a technical/scientific field.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience, with at least four years in an international organization, public sector, or non-profit organization.
  • Experience in revising the work of other translators is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office software and CAT tools.
  • Experience in supervising small teams of translators is an asset.
  • Russian as mother tongue or principal language of education, with a profound knowledge of its grammar, style, and usage.
  • Very thorough knowledge of English is essential.
  • Additional scientific or technical studies or work experience in a scientific or technical field is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English and Russian.
Remuneration:

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $77,326, a variable post adjustment, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses, and other benefits.
