What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant for Central Venous Access ensures high-quality care for patients requiring vascular access at Westmead Hospital.

Delivering advanced nursing care and expert clinical advice.
Providing patient assessments and high-standard clinical care.
Supporting staff, patients, and families with education and guidance.
Utilising professional knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Fostering patient-centered care with safety and excellence.

Essential Criteria:
Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA).
Selection Criteria:
At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
In addition, have an approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
Demonstrated experience utilising knowledge and advanced nursing skills in the assessment, care planning and provision of safe clinical care for patients with needs related to vascular access.
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated effective teaching skills.
Demonstrated commitment to patient centred care and quality improvement through the use of evidence to evaluate care and implement change.
Recent clinical experience relevant to the position including evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
