Locally family-owned and operated for over 40 years, Max Stocks provides more than 5000 fresh, frozen, and dry quality food service products to hotels, resorts, supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, aged care, schools, takeaways, cafes and more.
Servicing North Queensland from the Torres Straits to Bowen, out west to Mt Isa, and everything in between, Max Stocks employs more than 100 passionate people who are dedicated to delivering excellent service to our customers.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our Sales team in Townsville.
This full-time field sales position reports to the Sales Manager in Cairns and is responsible for building positive relationships, promoting the company's products and services, and growing sales from new and existing customers.
Responsibilities include:
Service and maintain an existing customer base, while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Achieve KPI's and targets.
Take orders and assist with customer queries about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
Promote special offers and new products.
Manage and resolve customer enquiries and issues.
Work positively and co-operatively within a busy sales team, and with other internal stakeholders including customer service and accounts.
About You
You will bring to the role:
Previous experience in the food service industry, ideally in a sales capacity.
Proven ability to identify and secure new opportunities and convert opportunities and leads to sales.
A positive attitude, great work ethic, and a friendly yet professional approach.
Strong self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage your time and work autonomously.
A current Queensland driver's licence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
A passion for food and the food service industry.
