Finance Manager - SSP Australia (Sydney) About the Role SSP Australia are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead an accounts team of eight to join our Finance team in Sydney.
You will be supported by a great leadership team.
As an ideal candidate, you will be an experienced and professional team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment towards achieving outstanding results.
Responsibilities Lead the finance team to complete all necessary financial reporting tasks, including month-end closure, processing of accounts payable and accounts receivables.Oversee the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements; prepare and submit required financial reports to regulatory bodies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Provide insights on financial performance and variances.Asset Management: Oversee the management of company assets, ensuring optimal utilization and value preservation.Conduct regular reviews and assessments of asset performance.Implement strategies for asset acquisition, disposal, and optimization.Project Capital Management: Evaluate and manage the financial viability of capital projects from inception to completion.Develop and maintain project financial models to assess potential returns and risks.Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation.Cash Flow Management: Monitor and analyze cash flow to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity for operational needs.Develop cash flow forecasts and strategies to optimize working capital.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Conduct regular assessments of internal controls and recommend improvements.Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: Bachelor's/master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, qualified CPA/CA/ACCA.10+ years of experience in a senior financial position, and team management experience.Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills, proven experience in process improvement, and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Excellent report-writing and communication skills.Big 4/accounting firm experience is desirable.If this role interests you, and your experience aligns with the above, apply today About Us SSP is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, with c.43,000 colleagues in over 600 locations across nearly 40 countries.
