About the Role: The Australian Reptile Park is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead and implement marketing strategies and drive visitation through a variety of markets.
This role offers a unique opportunity to play a critical part in enhancing the Park's presence across media platforms, building key industry relationships, and overseeing the development of staff and marketing initiatives.
You will manage both digital and traditional marketing campaigns and oversee public relations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute annual marketing plans, including budgets, monthly action plans, and reviews.
Lead and implement a digital marketing strategy across platforms (Google AdWords, SEO/SEM, EDMs, and paid META campaigns etc.).
Continually work to improve the Australian Reptile Park tourism product.
Provide monthly and quarterly reports to Directors on marketing initiatives, campaign success, and operational expenditure.
Oversee traditional advertising (TV, radio, print) and all promotional activities.
Oversee end-to-end campaigns across both traditional and digital marketing channels.
Serve as the main contact for media relationships, pitching stories and managing on-site media including copy for press releases and all communications with prospective/ existing customers.
Drive innovation by leading the team to brainstorm and implement new ideas.
Oversee the Park's presence as a filming location, including internal and external bookings.
Conduct pricing reviews and manage annual price increases.
Ensure all signage is up to date and within brand guidelines.
Write awards submissions and grant applications.
Conduct market research and visitor surveys to gather insights and implement improvements.
Oversight of the Reptile Park website ensuring regular updates and managing experiences in our online booking system.
Attend industry and networking events.
Liaise and organise logistical details for internal and external events as required, inclusive of promotional events and media.
Directly manage a marketing team to ensure the smooth running of the Marketing department and maximisation of marketing initiatives.
Facilitate professional development of positions under your report including performance appraisals and staff training.
Motivate and foster a collaborative team environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and key industry players.
Organise and conduct meetings with tourism authorities, government officials, and media partners.
Attend industry events, expos, and sales missions to represent the Park and maintain its reputation as a premier tourist destination.
Coordinate and manage promotional activations, events, and visitor experience improvements.
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships to increase visitation and brand awareness.
Conduct ongoing analysis of partnerships to identify success metrics and areas for improvement.
Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior marketing role with media liaison experience.
Education: Tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead a diverse team and manage complex projects.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in digital marketing strategies, SEO/SEM, Google AdWords, social media management, website management, and analytics.
Public Relations: Demonstrated ability to manage media relations and public image effectively.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Organisational Skills: Highly organised, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
